| Description: |
Successful candidate will be responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining, troubleshooting, documentation and maintenance of tape backup hardware and Tivoli Storage Manager in multiple large datacenter enterprise environments. Successful candidate is also responsible for:
- Hardware firmware updates
- Daily TSM backups
- TSM Configuration modifications
- TSM Monitoring and Management
- Design, development and testing backup solution components
- Troubleshooting TSM and hardware issues
- TSM patch application and upgrades.
- Processing security violation issues
- Backup performance monitoring and tuning
- Logistics for transfer of data to remote sites
- Instructing, assigning, and overseeing the performance of less experienced TSM administrators.

| Required Education: | Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or related discipline (or equivalent such as certifications in systems administration or network security) and seven to nine years of related experience.
DOD Secret Clearance must be obtainable.
Requires US Citizenship
A+ Certification and/or Security + Certification |
| Required Experience: | Ideally has certifications of IBM Certified Advanced Deployment Professional - Tivoli Storage Management Solutions 2005. Experience with IBM Tivoli Suite, specifically Tivoli Storage Manager, on Unix (AIX and Solaris) platforms, ADIC 12K tape library, Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes, MS RDC and Remedy Action Request System. |
